CPM to observe hartal in Kozhikode tomorrow.

KOZHIKODE: The CPI (M) will observe a hartal in Kozhikode tomorrow in protest against the arrest of its leader P Mohanan in connection with the murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party leader T P Chandrasekharan.

Talking to newspersons here, Secretariat Member and former Minister Elamaram Kareem, MLA said demonstrations would also be held in various parts of the district today and tomorrow.

Accusing the Congress-led UDF government for implicating Mohanan, a district secretariat member of the party, in a 'false' case while he was returning after attending a meet organised in memory of party leader M Dasan at Koyilandi. He said the police had treated him like a terrorist while considering the manner in which he was arrested adding Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishan owed an explanation for this 'undemocratic' action.
