CPM protests arrest of Mohanan, alleges political vendetta.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI (M) Friday strongly protested the arrest of CPI (M) Kozhikode District Committee member P Mohanan alleging that it gave room for suspicion that it was an act of political vendetta. In a release here, the party secretariat alleged the ruling Congress-led UDF was involved in a conspiracy with the state Home Ministry to defame CPI (M) for political benefits.

The arrest of Mohanan clearly proves that it is a political revenge taken by UDF as part of the conspiracy, it said.
