GB take two Olympic rowing golds on 'Super Saturday.
Team GB have taken their Olympic gold medal tally to 10 on the Games "Super Saturday", with two more rowing wins.
Andrew Triggs-Hodge, Pete Reed, Tom James, and Alex Gregory's win in the men's fours meant GB has won the event in four consecutive Olympics.
Sophie Hosking and Katherine Copeland then took the women's double sculls.
Team GB are also hoping Jessica Ennis and Mo Farah can win golds in the athletics on one of the Games' busiest days, with 25 titles up for grabs.
Events at Eton Dorney continued in dramatic fashion when the men's double sculls final was halted after Team GB's Zac Purchase and Mark Hunter stopped rowing because of a problem with their boat.
The Britons led for much of the race when it was re-started after Purchase appeared to fix his seat with a screwdriver - but the pairing could only take silver as they were edged out by Denmark in the final 100 metres.
Britain's Helen Jenkins could only manage fifth in the women's triathlon in Hyde Park, which was won by Switzerland's Nicola Spirig in a photo finish..
Jenkins, the women's world champion in 2008 and 2011 and among the favourites for gold, told the BBC she "gave it everything but just couldn't keep it up for the last lap".
Thousands of spectators lined the route in the park and surrounding streets to see athletes compete in a 1500m swim followed by a 43km (26 mile) bike ride and 10km (6.2 mile) run.
Motorists have been warned to avoid the area near Hyde Park Corner, as roads were closed for the event and a men's triathlon rehearsal later.
Meanwhile, Games organisers have said 30,000 out of the 80,000 seats for the prestigious men's 100m final at the Olympic Stadium on Sunday evening have been sold to members of the British public.
London 2012 spokesman Jackie Brock-Doyle said: "We have 60,000 saleable seats in the stadium, 50% of them are going to the British public.".
