President condoles death of G Kasturi

NEW DELHI: President Pranab Mukherjeeon Saturday condoled the death of G Kasturi, the longest serving editor of 'The Hindu' newspaper, and said his contribution to the field of journalism will be long remembered. Mukherjee termed 87-year-old Kasturi as doyen among the the post-independent journalists and said in his passing away a vacuum had been created in the industry. Being the longest served Editor of The Hindu, he had played a stellar role in the technological advancement of the newspaper, the President said.
