Two die in Balussery car mishap

Balussery: A man and his cousin died when their car collided with another car on the Koyilandy Thamarassery highway near Balussery on Monday. The deceased are Yousuf, 46, son of Ibrahim Hajji from Kannadipoyil and Fathima, 52, his cousin from Balussery Thuruthiyad. They were coming from Koyilandi and a overspeeding car coming in the opposite direction hit their car on Monday night near Panayi government hospital. The persons in the other car fled the scene abandoning the vehicle. Natives reached the spot and rushed the victims to the hospital but could not be saved. The locals destroyed the abandoned car. They were returning from a relatives home at Panayi. Yousuf's wife, who was also present in the car, has been admitted to a hospital in Balussery.
